oday was water themed.
This morning it rained, then it rained some more.
This was our first look at what we were going 'boating' on.

and finally, the sun set over lake Taupo...
This morning it rained, then it rained some more.
But by 1pm the rain died out and the sun started to show, just as we started out on the Huka Falls River walk, home of the Huka Falls Jet Boat (lucky given its name!).
We were going jet boating, but had decided that the Huka Falls trip was too tame! So after an hours walk here we moved on to the next stop, the Aratiatia Dam and the rapids.
This was our first look at what we were going 'boating' on.
Then we went boating, a sedate ride on the river...
This area is very volcanic, so on the way home we stoped off at the geothermal park "Craters of the Moon". NO, NO, come on get in the spirit! read again this time with a deep voice and a little echo please...
